Site Manager – Cleanrooms – Sunderland We are currently Partnering with a High-Growth, Market Leader in the Modular Cleanroom Design for the Biopharmaceutical sector. Demonstrating success across the UK and EMEA, they are currently seeking a Site Manager to help further develop their growth. Responsibilities Site Management and Coordination Requirements Must have SMSTS or equivalent as well as a valid CSCS card Benefits £280 - £300 per day
Oversee daily site operations, ensuring all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and programme requirements. Coordinate directly with subcontractors, supervisors, and site teams to maintain smooth workflow and productivity.
Finishing Works Supervision
Manage and inspect finishing and fit-out activities — including cleanrooms, architectural finishes, and MEP interfaces — ensuring exceptional quality and compliance with pharmaceutical and GMP standards.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
Uphold the highest standards of site safety and environmental performance. Ensure all personnel adhere to company safety policies, permit-to-work systems, and project-specific HSE requirements.
Programme and Progress Control
Monitor construction progress against the master schedule, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions. Report progress, risks, and resource needs to the Project Manager.
Quality Assurance and Coordination
Work closely with QA/QC, engineering, and commissioning teams to ensure installation and finishing works meet inspection and handover requirements. Support documentation, snagging, and quality walkdowns.
Handover and Closeout
Lead snag resolution and final inspections to achieve a high-quality handover. Ensure all as-built information, quality records, and completion documents are ready for client acceptance.
Must have previous experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably pharmaceutical or cleanroom projects)
Must be based within a commutable distance of Sunderland
Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
